First, I am a noob here so please go easey on me.
My Current freeview box died and I remembered having a bv vision box in the loft (Long Story).
It must be a couple of years old and I guess one of the first things I will need to do to get some help is find out what kind of box it is.
So the OP, How do I hack this thing to be able to use it as a standard free view box, and hopefully be able to record / playback.

Unfortunately record / playback isn't going to happen any time soon as most of it is triggered from BT's end, so it would be a huge task to re-write the whole program :(
You could potentially still use the box as just a normal freeview box, but it's quite a length to go to for what the you would currently gain
