Hardware / Modchip + Linux
05. Sep 2009, 16:44
I'm very glad that I found this forum. I have a KISS M3010 which no longer serves any purpose, and I naively though that I could mod it to serve as a network music player. I don't even need to store music on it, just for it to play streams from another box. I whipped the lid off and searched for the processor and found this forum. With the HDD connected up to a PC I can confirm that it is running a WinCE system so I guess the question is the following:

With the modchip installed, how would I go about reconfiguring the hard drive to allow a Linux boot (And is there a recommended distribution to attempt)?

Also, is there (and this must come up often) anyone prepared to ship a pre-programmed modchip to France?

Thanks in advance for any help.
