Hey,

i have motorola vip 1216 which runs wince, with the external 160gb hard disk. ive plugged hard disk to my laptop with an ide to usb converter and it had 2 paritions. i backed up all the files and then i formated. i ve made a 4 gb partition and i made a linux live cd bootable with unetbootin tool which make bootable distributions for external hds flashes etc. ive plugged the hd in the stb and then in tv. but nothing is done. it saw a screen that loads and then a big 'X'. What can i do in order to boot a linux distribution like ubuntu server or backtrack ?

thanks for all,

It does not work that way, the stb is not a pc. In order to do anything you need to modchip your stb, and you can't run any x86 distributions on the stb because the processor architecture is completely different.
