Hello
I bought this tuner only for watching DVB-T. There isn't hard drive instaled. I have connected tuner for my router (DHCP is on) and after powerup it wants to connect via internet to "somwhere" but connection is not establisched and displays in german "kaine verbindung".
Now the recording for me has a lower priority
I have old hard drive 40GB (ATA). It will be compatible with tuner? What is the file system, FAT, FAT32, NTFS?

After connecting this hard drive (FAT32)  and  connecting to router (IP format 192.168.1.xx) tuner downloading software, on the VFD displays T-Home and the big red circle on the right top corner but on the TV screen displays big X and halted.

What is the next step?
Is any chance to run?

a hard disk is required, because the firmware is stored on disk.

the error that you see is most likely due to a problem with the hard disk, so that the firmware cannot be installed on it.
you could try to put it in a PC and check what is on it. there should be two partitions . one with 128mb and another with the rest.

if that is not the case, then something is wrong with the drive... master/slave jumper ?  not working at all ?  draws too much power ?

anyway... if you get the drive working, then it will still not work, because the un-modified firmware will only fully start when you have a
IPTV contract and are connected to the correct multicast network.
I guess that is not the case, which means you need to modify the firmware, which is impossible until you install the modchip that is described here on the forum.

Thanks a lot!
My hard drive is working well at 100%, but i don't know what is the file system. Now i know that hard disk have to divide to two partition 128mb and other with the rest, but what should be file system FAT, FAT32, NTFS or linux format like ext2? Partition main, extended???

When my drive will be formatted correctly what files should be copied to hard drive to startup tuner without connection to internet?

I found post about modchip instalation but my hard disk is empty (HOW TO... topic). Is there somewhere in the image of the system drive?

no, if you let it complete with a net connection the bottloader has a tftp source coded into it which fetches and formats the hd for you with the newest firmware.
