Hi,

Just trying to get into the details of the box.  The disk seems to have been locked, has anyone unlocked one of these?

Cheers

what do you mean with "locked" ?

it should be a regular fat32 filesystem.

It appears to have IDE password protection - similar to xbox.

Neat. That's a feature the T-Home IPTV Box does not have. If you dump the Bootloader, you should find the password in there - possibly encrypted ;)

BTVHack

You can do a hotswap, power on the box and pull the ide connection, reconnect onto a PC....
Or....
If you have a modded XBOX, you can put the drive into it and run EvoX and unlock the drive, then
do a reboot on the DTV box and allow it to recreate the partitions, it should not lock again.

Turned out that my external USB caddy & motherboard both didn't like the disk, but another USB caddy did - it's not locked after all (and if I can't use this in the BT-Vision box I will upgrade my xbox disk - that's already runnign linux).
