Hi, I'm a newbie.
I read lot of informations in wiki and in this forum.
I have a KMM8006.
I can't use it because the internet service of this box is closed.
I would like to use it like a mediaplayer on my home-network.
I have to say that all informations are not clear in my little head.
I understand that I have to buy a Atmega8 chip, but I don't know how install it on my box and how program it.
I have do a DLC5 JTAG but I don't how to use it.
I have a HD but it's seem empty because I don't see any thing in when I plug the Hd in my PC.
So, does it existe a tuto to explain how to short circuit the protection of this box, because the compagny of internet does not exist today and I would like to use my box.

OK,
I read the forum again and it's incompréhensible.
I'd just want a tuto (a tuto is a page with the explication of a person that explain step by step how to do something beetwin the first step then the last step).
I don't want a link to a forum that I already read.
I think it will be more clear for every newbie to do a tuto (with fotos and explications) like lot of web site.
Think about newbies.

You do know that after patching the STB it does not magically turn into a media player ?
