i have a bt vision box and i need some explaining on what to do i have read the pdf but it didn't help.
Can i just do the hdd stuff and then use it as a freeview box?
Or do i have to do the mod chip aswell?

To alter ANYTHING on the box (software wise) you need a modchip, otherwise the box will just get an invalid signature, and error.
