Using X301T outside Germany

Hello,

I get a X301T but I'm living in Belgium so I can't use the media center...

Is there already a possibility  to use the X301T as a media center (+dvb-t) without being connected to T-Home in Germany?

it is not possible without modifing the software on the box....

but it should be possible to get this to work.

btw. it is not even possible to use DVB-T when you are connected to T-Home, since they disabled the functionality in the configuration options. (but that is easy to change)

no thats it...
a permanent solution requires a microcontroller instead of a PC .. that is being worked on.

yes that microcontroller solution is completed and it works great.

the thread covering this is in german:

but I think there is a readme in english included in the zip.

however this solution only allows to do modifications to the firmware. you still need to modify the firmware separately.
there is no patch or alternative application yet to make the box work without IPTV server, although it is possible to manipulate the
gui configuration files so that you can at least use the GUI and browse UPNP servers.
