BT have rolled out an update to add download functionality so that they can offer HD content.  They haven't mentioned much else about what the update includes but it might be worth seeing what else they have updated...

Cool,
I'll check it out.
The version i've been playing with is 1.2.14612.0 which I downloaded using teh PKG downloader.

I did notice that when I forced the box to do an update it still downloaded the previous version (I think it was 4077?), even though the newer version was available...

I compared this new version against the previous BT version:

changes:
Download-and-Play feature added -> for download of Videos
local File Encryption/Decryption (probably used for the download-and-play)
Powermanagement is added
TV2DvbCa_256.dll is moved from nk.bin to harddisk

thats it ... so not that much new stuff

I hear that this was a rush release and that the intended release with bigger updates was postponed until October in favour or the HD download stuff...

There are 277 files to download unzip, cobble together and unpack to get to the firmware.. see various discussions and tools in the forum/wiki to do this...

that fits to the release plan for T-Home... they announced an update for September/October that will include a Radio Mode.
but I havent heard what else should be in that update.
